Supporting the Casa Grande Ruins
|The Florence Copper Community Foundation recently awarded a $2,500 grant to the Friends of the Casa Grande Ruins for their newly created Distance Learning Project. |
The Friends of Casa Grande Ruins is a nonprofit, citizen-based organization, which was formed to support Casa Grande Ruins National Monument and assist in the preservation, protection, interpretation, and enjoyment of the Monument for present and future generations. Typically, there are hundreds of young students who tour the Ruins each year to learn about the history of the area.
The Distance Learning Project was created to continue the Casa Grande Ruins' elementary education during the Covid-19 crisis. The grant will assist with purchasing laptops, webcams, green screens, and numerous subscriptions for their educational programs. The program will continue long after the pandemic is over to expand the educational opportunities to a greater audience.

$1000 Sponsorship to Paladin Sports
|On February 28, 2020, the Florence Copper Community Foundation proudly presented a $1000 sponsorship check to Paladin Sports Outreach. This will be used specifically to provide scholarships for 20 kids and pay for gym fees for one full season of basketball for the organization.|
Paladin Sports Outreach is a 501(c)3, Arizona nonprofit corporation, established to bring sports and recreation services to under-served communities in the Southeast Valley including Florence.

$1500 for Baseball/Softball Pitching Machine Awarded to Anthem K-8 by Foundation
|On May 15, 2019 the Florence Copper Community Foundation awarded a $1500 grant to the Anthem K-8 PTA to use toward the costs of a baseball/softball pitching machine for the school.|
Anthem K-8 is part of the Florence Unified School District, located in the Anthem area of Florence, AZ. PTA members and leadership are extremely active fundraisers for items and programs needed for the school.

to the Florence Fudge Company
On February 26, 2019 the Florence Copper Community Foundation presented The Florence Fudge Company with a $1500 grant.
The Florence Fudge Company is nonprofit restaurant whose proceeds directly benefit the Love Works Family Resource Center in Florence, Ariz. Love Works has provided assistance, diapers, food, equipment, and classes to the the community of Florence for over ten years.
The grant will be used by the Florence Fudge Company to upgrade their equipment.

to Christ the Victor Food Bank
On February 21, 2019 the Florence Copper Community Foundation presented Christ
the Victor Food Bank with a $1500 grant.
Christ the Victor Food Bank is a nonprofit serving families in need every month from their Florence, Ariz. location. They are also the only local facility where senior citizens can receive the federal commodity food box. Over the past 10 years the volunteers at Christ the Victor have worked tirelessly to collect and provide a variety of food, including fresh produce, meat, and dairy products to Pinal County residents.

Florence High School Graduation "Lock In" Night and Coolidge's Arizona Community Theatre Awarded Grants
On April 19, 2018, Florence Copper held a Supporter Appreciation Night to celebrate the construction of the project's Production Test Facility, and to thank long-time supporters of the project. That evening, The Florence Copper Community Foundation also awarded $1500 in grants. Arizona Community Theatre received $1,000 to continue their work in Arts & Culture for Pinal County. Florence High School received $500 for assistance with their annual senior "Lock In" event. It was a great evening! Thank you to everyone for coming and supporting Florence Copper and these great organizations.

At Florence Copper's Copper Talk event yesterday, members of the Florence Copper Community Foundation were present and presented a check to the Central Arizona College Foundation. This grant was awarded specifically for their Promise for the Future program. Promise for the Future is an educational initiative designed to encourage students who reside in Pinal County to stay in high school, graduate from a Pinal County public or charter high school with a 2.75 grade point average or higher and participate in 20 hours of community service to earn tuition-free education to Central Arizona College. Grant Recipients Announced by Florence Copper Community Foundation
$15,000 awarded to programs that benefit Florence and surrounding communities
Florence, Ariz. (Jan. 19, 2015) - The Florence Copper Community Foundation ("Community Foundation") announced three grant recipients at Florence Copper Inc.'s Supporter Appreciation Night on Jan. 14, 2015. The nonprofits awarded funding were Paladin Sports Outreach, Honoring/Hiring/Helping Our Heroes of Pinal County, and the Florence Food Bank - all nonprofits that directly benefit the communities of Florence and greater Pinal County. This was the third round of giving from the Community Foundation, and a total of $15,000 was awarded to programs that benefit the local area.

Florence Fudge Shop Receives Funds for Expansion
The Florence Copper Community Foundation ("Community Foundation") announced three grant recipients from the local community at Florence Copper Inc.'s open house event the evening of August 12, 2014. The nonprofits awarded funding were the Florence Fudge Company, the Copper Basin YMCA and the Future Forward Foundation - all nonprofits that directly benefit the communities of Florence and unincorporated Pinal County. This was the second round of giving from the Community Foundation, which was established in 2013.
